We heard that the Pungo Lake area was the place to be to easily observe bears though this was only bear we came across on our drive. Still a nice place for nature exploration.

A leftover shot that I almost forgot to edit from our California trip. I especially liked the gnarled fence post and blue sky. This was captured as we drove from Groveland CA along Highway 120 to reach Big Oak Flat Road.

Wood Turtle with three legs

Despite having only a nub and scar tissue for its front left leg this Wood Turtle seemed to be getting around well.
