I was not expecting to see an Osprey perched above #Denville Park Meadows today. Hopefully this bird catches a few trout en route to its breeding grounds.
This morning I set out to Troy Meadows to grab a few aerial shots to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the National Natural Landmarks program. Wildlife Preserves continues to proactively manage Troy Meadows for the benefit of native wildlife.
At approximately 6AM, a portion of the group headed outside in hopes of detecting things that go “hoot in the night”. By 7AM the rest of our group rendez-voused at Kincaid Woods on Powerville Rd.

The best weather for landscape photography is nearly always scattered clouds and yesterday was no exception. I left my house amid the dark predawn hours in hopes of “striking gold” with a vivid morning sky and ended up getting rewarded.
