Canon EOS M50 – First Day Out

Canon EOS M50

24 megapixel mirrorless camera
My first day out with this new camera. I will be using it for filming wildlife in Ultra High Definition (4k) as well as general nature photography.
The articulating screen and touch screen are great features. Having a few less manual dials than a full sized DSLR will take getting used to. I love being able to use all of my Canon mount lenses onto a small camera though.
I should be able to run detailed prints up to 20″x30″ from this setup but will continue to use my Canon 5Dsr for heavy duty landscape work. Let me know if you have any questions about the Canon M50 which I may be able to answer for you.

I love how the background trees faded away during the morning drizzle.

The print is available in sizes up to 4′ and potentially 6′. A portion of all proceeds will be allocated to local non-profit organizations.

Taken late afternoon just down the road from Waterloo Village.

I really loved how the roots enveloped the boulder.

Canon SL2 + Sigma 17-50mm OS lens. This photograph is available to purchase with print sizes up to 20″x30″.

This scenic stone arched pedestrian bridge was just complete. A nice use of funding by the Denville Open Space Trust Fund. The bridge is in memory of Peggy Gray who founded the Denville Beautification Committee and Denville P.R.I.D.E.

This image is a 3 photo HDR merge from the Canon SL2 DSLR and is available print at sizes up to 20″ x 30″.

Local photographer, Dave Blinder, invites you to view his comprehensive statewide nature photography exhibit “Landscapes of New Jersey”.  All 21 counties of The Garden State are represented by a single landscape image and accompanying descriptions of all locales are provided.  Also provided is a printed handout listing each work of art, the town and county in which it was captured, and a hyperlink to learn more about these invaluable natural areas.
An electronic PDF with live hyperlinks is available upon request. The goal of “Landscapes of New Jersey” is to celebrate the diverse natural areas within the state and to encourage residents to explore all of the far reach of The Garden State.  “Landscapes of New Jersey” is on display at the Haggerty Education Center within the Frelinghuysen Arboretum now until the end of November 2018.
