A rainy afternoon was not looking promising for nature photography until I spied the young Groundhog through my telephoto lens. It was very exciting for me to capture and record this tender moment between mother and child.

Lake Arrowhead Dock in Fog

By using a wide angle interchangeable lens I was able to draw in the foreground greenery to add some embellishing to this image. A good landscape image is all about carefully and knowingly layering the components.
