Hi Dave
Just came across your blog whilst looking at reviews of the Tamaron 18 – 400mm, and was wondering if you still think it is a good purchase. I travel fairly frequently and I am typing this while lounging by a pool in Nha Trang, Vietnam (I reside in the UK when not on my travels) – and was looking for a good ‘all in one’ lens (have taken three with me which can be a burden sometimes). Will be in Saigon shortly and was thinking of buying there and ‘saving a few quid’ if possible. Had a look at your samples and was quite impressed with the quality . I am currently using a Canon 77D and I consider myself a keen amateur.
Any additional info would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Paul

Hi Paul – What sorts of subject matter do you most often photograph? I find the 18-400 to be a very good lens for landscapes and approachable wildlife.
